Dr. Bruce Schnall, a board-certified pediatric ophthalmology surgeon, was honored at Healing the Children® New Jersey’s 32nd Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony. Diane Calesnick, Nurse Anesthetist, presented Dr. Schnall with The Sue Tiger Award, conferred upon someone who has shown outstanding volunteer support for HTCNJ and its Medical Teams Abroad program.

Schnall has been a volunteer with HTCNJ since 2000. He participates as the Trip Chief and Ophthalmology Surgeon in the nonprofit’s Medical Teams Abroad program and has traveled on six volunteer pediatric surgical trips to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
